Silicone pessary: cervical perforated is manufactured from biologically inert medical silicone. The product has the shape of a deep bowl with a large central opening and multiple holes of small diameter in the periphery. Cervical perforated pessary is used for the prevention of preterm delivery in case of pregnancy complicated by isthmic-cervical insufficiency and for the prevention of development of isthmic-cervical insufficiency.
Cervical perforated pessary can also be used for the conservative correction of female genital organs prolapse including the case of prolapse of vaginal vaults after hysterectomy.
Pessaries are not sterile when they are delivered, therefore they need to be disinfected before use.
